Sal Demilio’s likabilty and charm, mixed with his smooth, yet occasionally rapid fire delivery make him a comedic force to be reckoned with. Clever and clean, he tackles subjects such as his Italian family, culture, sports and technology with equal agility, taking angles you never considered but instantly identify with. Comedy  Cabana’s final round of our annual open mic comedy competition is Monday, May 23rd at 8:00pm. Doors open at 6:00pm with a full bar & grill available. The top 12 performers from the preliminary rounds will be competing for the grand prize. Come out and support these local favorites.

 

The search is on for the best comedian in the United States. The World Series of Comedy travels all around North America holding comedy contests at participating comedy clubs. Forty different professional comics from all over the United States and Canada will travel to Comedy Cabana to perform for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas in September for The Main Event. You get to vote during the shows helping us pick the winners.

Sonya White combines southern charm with big city street smarts to create a show that won her multiple appearances on CBS’s “Star Search” and a promo spot on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Sonya’s additional TV credits include CMT production “Southern Fried Chicks” and FOX Network’s “Night Shift.” Sonya has appeared on Oxygen’s “Girls Behaving Badly.” She has also been featured on “Comcast Comedy Spotlight Roadtrip” and at The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, which was aired on HBO, E!, and Comedy Central. Both her comedy stage show and her one-woman show, “Airing Dirty Laundry,” are based on real-life experiences and her fond, but irreverent, interactions with friends, family and the world at large.

Dailakis’ comic gift is to create such premises, provide the perfect voices and pack this into an already hilarious stand-up routine. Dailakis is a one-of-a-kind performer who delights and surprises with a talent as untamed as the Australian outback.

Jim Dailakis has appeared on television shows on VH1, NBCCMT as well as TV commercials in the USA and around the world. He performs at many of the nation’s best comedy venues such as New York City’s famous Caroline’s and Laugh Factory, Atlantic City’s prestigious Borgata Hotel, Charlie Goodnight’s and Chicago’s Riddles. In addition, Dailakis was invited to perform stand-up comedy at the world class Edinburgh International Arts Festival in Scotland and he has also worked with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Larry the Cable Guy, Kevin Nealon, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin and he  also has entertained passengers on the Norwegian cruise lines.

Basile is known for his voice work as Universal Studio’s Bullwinkle J Moose, as well as for the Cartoon Network. He has entertained millions of comedy fans in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa. You can find him on “Growing Up Greek in America.” This series is spoken in Greek and English and to date has sold over a quarter of a million copies.

Basile’s voices and characters have been heard on Armed Forces Radio, television, syndicated radio in North America, and on XM Satellite Radio. At age 16, Greg Morton got his first job at a local department store, as a P.A. announcer. That same voice that grabbed the attention of shoppers, recently wowed the judges on the season 14 premier, of America’s Got Talent. Howie Mandel said, “I can’t believe there isn’t a banner with your name on it in Vegas!” After 35 years of entertaining audiences worldwide – opening for Celine Dion, Harry Connick Jr. and Luther Vandross at Radio City Music Hall – appearing on Just for Laughs, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Comic’s Unleashed, and his own Dry Bar Comedy special, entitled, “I Started Out as a Baby” – He received a standing ovation, and four yeses for his Star Wars routine. The force is definitely with this man.
